STANDARD WILL

A will which leaves your estate to your spouse/partner (if any), then any children, then any grandchildren, then any other relatives, friends or charities (or similar, depending on your circumstances).

TESTAMENTARY TRUST WILL

A Will which creates a testamentary trust for named beneficiaries. This pricing includes creation of one trust. Additional trusts, if required, will be quoted separately but are generally

COMPLEX WILL

A Will which addresses the requirements of blended families, or which requires a life estate, right of residence, a significant number of specific gifts, significant charitable donations, annuities, family trust benefits, advice on severing a joint tenancy or similar.

GENERAL POWER OF ATTORNEY (with a Will) (NSW ONLY)

A General Power of Attorney can be entered into for a specified period and/or for a specific purpose, for example dealing with the sale of a property while the grantor is overseas or undergoing surgery – this type of Power of Attorney is automatically revoked on the grantor losing capacity).
Please note registration and registration fees with the NSW Land Titles Registry which is required for the purpose of dealing with real property is an additional fee to be advised on request.

ENDURING POWER OF ATTORNEY (with a will) (NSW ONLY)

This type of Power of Attorney remains in place after the grantor has lost capacity (with a will)

ENDURING GUARDIAN APPOINTMENT (with a will) (NSW ONLY)

An Enduring Guardian Appointment can take effect immediately, at a point in time instructed by the grantor or when a medical practitioner informs the grantor has lost capacity. The choice of when the power comes into force, is made by the grantor, however, this type of Power of Attorney remains in place after the grantor has lost capacity (with a will)

BESPOKE SERVICE (NSW ONLY)

Personal visits at your office, personal residence, aged care facility/hospice or hospital/rehabilitation facility.
This Bespoke Service is currently only available in New South Wales for:
  • the busy professional (outside of business hours on arrangement)
  • the elderly or those with mobility issues who prefer not to visit our Edgecliff or Parramatta offices but still want a one on one service

A full portable Office Service will be available during these personal attendances including amending documents, and printing and scanning services allowing for on the spot execution of updated documents (if required). We will look to expand our Bespoke Service into Queensland in the near future.

Personal arrangements made on a case by case basis.

GRANT OF PROBATE OR LETTERS OF ADMINISTRATION (NSW ONLY)

For NSW, the fixed fees charged for obtaining any type of Grant of Representation is in accordance with Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Regulation 2015 Schedule 3 – Costs for legal services for probate and administration matters.
Filing and publication fees are an additional disbursement payable to the Supreme Court of NSW. Filing fees are calculated with refence to the value of the estate. Details of current filing fees can be found here Current fees (nsw.gov.au).
Please note these fees do not cover administration and finalisation of the estate once a grant has been made. Champion can assist with the administration process; however, these services are charged on an hourly basis.

Charges as prescribed by the Legal Profession Uniform Law Application Regulation 2015 Schedule 3 – Costs for legal services for probate and administration matters and based on the value of estate – for example: Value of estate Exceeding $1,000,000 but not exceeding $3,000,000 legal fees equate to $5,470 plus $1.66 for each $1,000 of value in the estate in excess of $1,000,000 so on a value of $1,500,000 your professional legal fees would be $6,300
